The Senior Service Technician is responsible for commissioning, servicing, and maintaining energy storage equipment across active project sites. This role supports long-term service agreements, performs diagnostics, ensures uptime targets are met, and collaborates with engineering teams on technical issues. The position is ideal for a hands-on electrical technician with experience in BESS, inverters, SCADA, or industrial power systems.

• Commission and maintain battery energy storage equipment, including BESS enclosures, PCS, RMUs/switch gear, and transformers
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in accordance with warranty and service agreements
• Diagnose issues related to electrical, controls, and communication systems
• Support onsite testing, inspections, and field-level troubleshooting
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Maintain accurate work orders, service reports, and spare-parts inventory
• Execute LOTO procedures and switching activities as required
• Provide training and support to customers during commissioning
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with site requirements

• 8+ years of experience in electrical service, power systems, or renewable energy field work
• Electrical technician certification strongly preferred
• Experience with inverters, MV equipment, SCADA systems, or industrial controls
• Familiarity with energy storage systems and national electrical codes
• OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel at least 50% to regional project sites
