As a Technical Operations Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring optimal performance for a distributed portfolio of solar PV and energy storage assets. You'll be the primary technical point of contact for assigned clients, working closely with Portfolio Managers and the broader Commercial Operations Team.

We’re looking for commercial technicians and installers who also love working with clients and partners. From asset onboarding to performance management and reporting, you'll directly contribute to delivering exceptional client experiences while supporting operational excellence and innovation in clean energy.

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned clients in a portfolio of about 250-350 MW of distributed solar assets
• Review service visit reports before they are presented to clients and participate in weekly client check‑in calls to provide on‑the‑spot technical expertise
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, field service partners, internal team members, and other asset stakeholders

• Investigate issues using site monitoring platforms, and initiate activities to improve asset performance.
• Create, manage, and oversee tickets for planned and unplanned service activities.
• Coordinate and manage service activities with field service partners.
• Support onsite service technicians during service work and check‑out calls.
• Collaborate with external engineering firms for retro‑fits, repowering, and redesigns.

• Own the technical aspect of our Commercial BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) program, including sales support, pricing proposals, scope development, contract review, and operational implementation
• Contribute to the development and updates of Omnidian’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and QA/QC program
• Participate in initiatives supporting sales and product development.

• Typically 3+ yrs of hands‑on experience as a solar technician, installer, OEM field service engineer, or similar role, with at least 2 of those years in Commercial Solar
• Hands‑on experience should include 1000V+ DC systems, 3‑phase AC interconnections, and advanced system diagnostics for projects exceeding 500kW
• Typically 4+ years of professional experience in the solar energy industry, or equivalent demonstrated scope, showcasing a history of leadership in account management, asset management, operations and maintenance, or field service coordination.
• Familiarity with energy storage technologies
• Experience with solar monitoring DAS platforms and interpreting system design drawings.
