Flight Test Engineer – Associate​/Mid-Level

Requirements

• – Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent qualifications related to the role.
• – Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience or a combination of education and experience.
• – Willingness and ability to travel 10-20% domestically and internationally.

• – Preferred:
  At least 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience for Level 3 candidates.
• – Preferred:
  Expertise in aircraft test design, test execution, systems operation, configuration control, safety protocols, data collection and analysis, or maintenance practices.
• – Preferred:
  Experience in flight test or lab engineering environments.
• – Preferred: FAA Private Pilot training or certification.

• Support the development and validation of testing methods.
• Create comprehensive test procedures and define instrumentation and configuration requirements to execute tests while mitigating risks.
• Address calibration system issues of limited scope and impact.
• Assess test results and resolve encountered challenges.
• Employ analytical tools to confirm design integrity.
• Process and present data formatted according to client specifications.
• Examine test data for precision, quality, and fidelity before submission to clients.
• Draft and disseminate test reports, including Certification Reports, to document outcomes and meet regulatory demands.
• Present findings to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain concentration on test instrumentation during unconventional flight maneuvers and loads.
• Conduct Risk Analysis with a strong emphasis on safety compliance.
