Mid-Senior CAD Technician

Base pay range

$90,200.00/yr - $/yr

• Develop detailed plans, profiles, and cross‑sections for transportation projects.
• Apply CAD standards, client requirements, and agency specifications.
• Review survey data, field notes, and design markups into drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, planners, and project managers to meet deadlines.
• Assist in developing and enforcing CAD standards and workflows.
• Mentor junior staff and provide quality control reviews of drawings.
• Manage electronic files and ensure compliance with project documentation protocols.
• Provide technical support for all CAD software.

• 5+ years of experience in CAD drafting for civil/transportation projects.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and Micro Station.
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or Open Roads preferred.
• Strong understanding of transportation/traffic engineering concepts and plan development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Associate degree or technical certification in drafting/design, civil technology, or related field.
• Experience with agency standards (DOT, FHWA, municipal).
• Familiarity with 3D modeling/visualization tools.
