Principal I&C Engineer – Advanced Nuclear Systems
JCW Group is partnering with a leading advanced energy technology organization to hire a Principal Instrumentation & Controls Engineer supporting next-generation nuclear reactor development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead I&C component development and system design
- Define instrumentation specifications for high-temperature, high-reliability environments
- Develop control architecture, design packages, and technical documentation
- Support testing, commissioning, and supplier technical deliverables
- Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and plant engineering teams
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
- 10+ years (Senior) or 15+ years (Principal) relevant experience
- Strong background in I&C systems, instrumentation selection, and control design
- Experience in complex, safety-critical or industrial environments preferred
- Familiarity with IEEE / IEC standards and electrical codes is a plus
