Responsibilities
- Structural design codes including AASHTO LRFD and AASHTO LRFR
- Familiarity with providing services to NHDOT and/or VTrans
- Ability to mentor and develop staff
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work within fast-paced, team-oriented workplace.
- Completing and checking complex engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates for the designs of concrete and precast decks, steel and concrete superstructures, integral and semi-integral abutments, wingwalls, culverts and retaining walls.
- Management of technical tasks and relevant staff.
- Provide operational and project management support to the bridge lead.
- Provide technical development of a variety of bridge projects of various sizes and designs.
- Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents.
- Oversee work, quality control, client coordination and all daily technical aspects of projects assigned to you.
- 8 plus years of experience in Bridge Engineering
- BS/MS in Civil Engineering
- PE License preferred
- Demonstrated technical experience
- Micro-station and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
- Working knowledge of AASHTO Design Guidelines
The salary range for this position is $125,000 – $175,000, plus employees may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
