Position: Lead Mechanical Design Engineer (ASME III)

PAY: $169,922 - $235,464

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an Lead ASME Section III SME for our client in the Nuclear industry.

In this role, you will create design solutions for the design development of various reactor structures and components for FOAK Reactors. Candidates must have extensive experience in equipment design. The Senior Engineer we are seeking is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in ASME Section III nuclear design.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and certifying Design Specifications (DS) and Design Reports (DR) in accordance with ASME Section III requirements, as well as supporting licensing, compliance, and customer deliverables.
  • Perform detailed design, analysis, and documentation for ASME Section III Class NF and/or HB.
  • Develop and maintain design specifications, calculations, load evaluations, and qualification reports in compliance with ASME Section III and related nuclear codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define design requirements, resolve technical issues, and optimize component performance.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of eight years of equipment / component design experience; relevant M.S. degree credited as two years of experience.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • Working experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III.
