Stabbert Maritime / Stabbert Offshore is a Seattle-based maritime company focused on providing unique maritime solutions for its customers. The company is looking for Assistant Engineers for its growing vessel fleet. This position will be a permanent position with even time rotations.

• Support the vessel engineering department in adhering to all safety and flag requirements.
• Complete all assigned work with the highest regard for safety.
• Support the Chief Engineer to ensure that main engines and associated machinery including electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning units on board the ship are operating efficiently.
• Ensure Chief Engineer is kept informed of the status of all equipment and work accomplished, including any SMS non-conformities.
• Keep detailed engine room logs noting all failures, maintenance, and repair done to equipment.

• Must have a US passport.
• Experience with diesel-electric system.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, and hydraulic systems.
• License Requirements - USCG Assistant Engineering License.
• STCW Certification.
• Results-oriented, self-starter with a high level of initiative.
• Strong ability to organize and communicate with others.
• Strong work ethics, values, and principles with safety the first priority.
