- Embrace your entrepreneurial mindset; working closely with the Product team to transform a vision and customer needs into hardware architectures and implementations
- Contribute to the end-to-end design and bring-up of hardware subsystems on machines (schematic, circuit simulation, layout, integration) for next-gen hardware modules, including compute/MCU platforms, wiring harnesses, sensor selection, fault-detection & redundant operation, and power systems
- Own the hardware & firmware design of automated test & validation systems to be used for manufacturing test, design validation, and in-field debug
- Partner with vendors & assembly house(s) to expand our prototyping and manufacturing supply chain
- Partner with the Product team to define test & reliability specs for humidity, temp, and vibration
- 5+ years in a cross-functional electrical engineer design role, PCB design in Altium Designer & system integration, hands-on experience with DMM, oscilloscope, SMT/THT soldering
- Proven track record effectively managing vendors, including sensor providers and assembly
- Experience with fault tolerant system design at the hardware and firmware level
- Ability to perform analog and digital hardware validation, debugging, and failure analysis
- Simulations - SPICE, IBIS
- EMI / EMC testing experience
- Experience designing, building, and testing electrical harnesses for harsh and rough environments
- MCU with firmware development
- Experience working with CAN, including decoding messages & debug
- Designing and testing to functional safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 15998, ISO 10218)
