Leadership and Technical Opportunities in HDR’s Coastal Engineering Program

HDR is currently seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic, and technical leadership in our growing coastal engineering and restoration program. Our portfolio of award‑winning coastal projects demonstrates the depth and breadth of our team’s expertise across interdisciplinary markets of architecture, federal, transportation, and water resources. HDR is ranked #5 in ENR's 2025 Top Water Design Firm rankings.

• Lead and manage coastal restoration projects, including marsh restoration, beach nourishment, shoreline protection projects such as revetments and breakwaters, and navigation projects such as dredging, marinas, and harbors.
• Perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects, including creating plans and specifications.
• Provide project management and leadership within the coastal engineering and restoration program.

• Experience in analyzing and designing coastal restoration, shoreline protection, and navigation projects.
• Familiarity with wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging, and basic geotechnical or structural systems.
• Knowledge of creating plans and specifications and project management.
