Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Hydropower & Dams

Seattle, WA or Portland, OR | Hybrid (1 day/week in office)

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Pacific Northwest team. This is a senior, high-impact leadership role supporting hydropower, dam safety, and major water infrastructure projects.

We’re looking for an experienced geotechnical professional (10+ years) with the ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, strengthen client relationships, and help shape the future of our geotechnical practice in the region.

• Lead geotechnical efforts for hydropower, dam safety, and underground works projects.
• Guide and mentor junior staff, supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Oversee technical work including analyses, investigations, and geotechnical design.
• Serve as a client-facing technical lead with utilities, agencies, and private owners.
• Contribute to business development activities and strategic planning.
• Work in a flexible hybrid model:
  in-person only once per week

• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
• Background in hydropower, dams, tunnels, or major water infrastructure
• Leadership and mentorship experience
• Strong client communication and project delivery skills
• PE license (or ability to acquire in WA/OR)
