Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer

Geotechnical Engineer in our Seattle, Washington or Wenatchee, Washington offices. The position will have the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real‑world situations on projects involving site characterization; river and floodplain restoration, landfill design and construction; earth retaining structures; deep foundations; dams and water containment structures; forensic investigations and litigation support; geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring; and geohazard/earthquake characterization/mitigation, while learning the business skills needed for a successful consulting career.

• Conducting geotechnical field investigations
• Monitoring heavy civil construction projects
• Performing and reviewing engineering calculations

• Bachelor's degree in civil and/or environmental engineering or geology (required)
• Advanced degree the same (preferred)

• Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting (preferred)
• Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Slide2, and Settle3D (preferred)
• Regular field work and overnight travel (required)
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client‑driven drug and background testing (required)
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)

• Minimum: $32.29 /hour / Maximum: $37.48 /hour or Minimum: $80,168.40/year / Maximum: $83,955/year (Wenatchee, WA)
• Minimum: $35.51 /hour / Maximum: $37.48 /hour or Minimum: $80,168.40/year / Maximum: $92,350/year (Seattle, WA)
