About the PositionThe Senior Electrical Estimator will lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and comprehensive electrical cost estimates for large, complex commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is instrumental in supporting pursuit decisions, shaping project strategy, and ensuring bids align with scope, risk, and execution capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings both hands-on estimating expertise and the ability to think strategically—partnering with operations, project management, and leadership to drive successful outcomes from pursuit through execution.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Lead the estimating effort for commercial ground-up, renovation, and tenant improvement projects
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for projects ranging from $500K to $10M
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop complete scopes of work
- Identify risks, value-engineering opportunities, and competitive advantages during the bid process
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing
- Support preconstruction planning and handoff to operations teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools
- 5–8 years of experience estimating electrical construction projects
- Proven experience with commercial ground-up, renovation, and TI projects
- Demonstrated success estimating projects in the $500K–$10M range
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction means and methods, and local market conditions
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools preferred
- Competitive base salary of $120,000–$150,000
