Position: EHS POLICY SYSTEM LEAD

Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide.

Summary

The EHS Policy & Systems Development Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and management systems that ensure regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and operational excellence across Trident Seafoods’ operations. This role serves as a subject matter expert in EHS governance frameworks and system integration, enabling consistent standards and continuous improvement across all business units.

The position supports integration of safety and environmental programs within the EHS Management System and Safety Management System but does not directly own specialized programs such as Process Safety Management.

  • Develop and maintain EHS policies and standards that meet or exceed regulatory requirements and align with corporate objectives.
  • Monitor emerging environmental, health, and safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure proactive compliance.
  • Lead the design and implementation of internal EHS management systems for environmental and safety programs.
  • Integrate EHS systems with operational workflows and digital platforms to streamline compliance tracking and reporting.
  • Conduct gap analyses and risk assessments for environmental and safety programs; ensure audit readiness and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on EHS policies and system usage; develop role‑based training and job aids.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed EHS considerations into business processes and decision‑making.
  • Define KPIs and reporting mechanisms for EHS performance and compliance; prepare and present reports to leadership.
  • Drive automation and data governance for EHS performance metrics and dashboards.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS systems and policy adoption across all sites.
  • Regularly work on site to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.
  • Travel to processing plants, shipyards and vessels, including remote Alaska, up to 25%.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $100,000 to $125,000.
