Glumac Commissioning Intern & New Grad Virtual Info Event – Fill out form
Working with senior commissioning staff, you’ll develop and execute commissioning plans, review submittals and startup reports, perform pre-functional and functional testing, document results, and track issue resolution. You’ll attend design/construction meetings, support owner operations teams (and LEED documentation when needed), and help close out projects with clear reports and lessons learned. Travel to project sites and on‑site physical work are required.
EssentialJob Functions
- Coordinate with the Commissioning Authority and Project Manager to align commissioning scope with project budget and schedule.
- Attend design and construction meetings to plan commissioning activities.
- Prepare commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional test procedures using Glumac standards and project documentation.
- Review equipment submittals and shop drawings and incorporate findings into test documentation.
- Perform site commissioning: pre‑functional checks, witness and direct functional tests, document results, and produce field reports.
- Diagnose system issues, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate contractor retesting.
- Maintain commissioning documentation: progress reports, issue logs, system manuals, and final commissioning/closeout reports.
- Support owner operations staff with system training and sequences of operation.
- Assist with LEED® documentation as required.

- Strong communication, organization, and basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Learning mindset - comfortable asking questions and taking direction.
- Ability to work on site for extended periods, climb ladders/stairs, and lift >20 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of MEP systems and exposure to construction or facility operations.
- Driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel to project sites.
- LEED® accreditation.
- Experience with building automation controls and instrumentation.
- Degree in engineering or related field.
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a requirement of two in‑office days per week in one of our offices and/or on project sites. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.
CompensationSalary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience). The base salary range represents the low and high end of the compensation scale for this role. Actual salaries will be determined based on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications. This salary range is just one component of Glumac’s total compensation package, which includes benefits, professional development opportunities, and additional incentives.
