Program / Project Manager
At JLL, we are driving sustainability through everything that we do, across all service lines and job positions. Specifically, we are growing our Sustainability practice to drive end-to-end sustainability solutions in real estate, from site selection to decommissioning. In this role, you will work with one of our high-profile clients, acting as an embedded extension of their in-house Sustainability Team. As a member of the JLL Sustainable Operations Team, reporting to the Global Program and Integration Lead, you will support the AMER Regional Manager in the development & implementation of the regional sustainability and net zero strategy with focus on portfolio strategy and design & construction.
This role is remote within the AMER region, but prefer Seattle or Arlington.
Key responsibilities include:- Collaborate with the Regional Manager to support the development and execution of the sustainability and net zero strategy across AMER. This includes a strong emphasis on real estate portfolio management.
- Lead the implementation of key sustainability programs in line with regional and global targets, ensuring all projects align with sustainability goals such as carbon reduction, energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and waste minimization.
- Work across cross-functional teams and influence change to ensure programs are integrated into business processes, particularly portfolio strategy.
- Standardize sustainability procedures, processes, and protocols at the regional level to ensure compliance with global frameworks and consistent implementation across all teams.
- Provide technical and strategic guidance to regional teams to ensure the effective adoption of sustainability practices.
- Work with Global leads defining global best practices aligned with sustainability strategy and setting implementation processes & procedures at the regional level.
- Focus on new and innovative technologies and processes to deliver alignment to long term glidepath through our portfolio management process including collaboration with landlords, industry experts, and others.
- Help to identify the best tools and mechanisms to measure, monitor and report sustainability data, projects and performance.
- Assist in developing leading practice, market insights and emerging trends in all aspects of sustainability.
To apply you need to be/have:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in architecture, engineering, environment, sustainability or related discipline.
- Engineering/architecture expertise, particularly in design and construction.
- Proven track record in corporate real estate sustainability.
- Passionate about sustainability and making a real impact.
- Experience in influencing partners for shared outcomes.
- Experience program managing multiple and complex work streams.
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to prioritize in a complex, fast paced environment.
- Being able to deal with change quickly and going with the flow in consensus of the wider group.
- Strong interaction with people and can establish relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborative, hands on approach, getting involved, leading but also being able to listen to group consensus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in written and numeric work.
