Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring an Experienced Mechanical Component Failure Analyst (Level3) to join our Equipment Quality team in Seattle, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform failure analyses of airplane hydraulic and/or mechanical components to determine the cause of failure
- Emphasis on bench testing skills, component disassembly, technical evaluation, precision measurement, analytical reasoning and report writing
- Maintain a working knowledge of airplane components, related systems and supporting technical documentation
- Develop test methods to replicate failure modes
- Lead analysis teams comprised of Suppliers, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, airline representatives and government representatives
- Prepare formal technical reports of investigation results for internal and/or external customers to include government agencies
- 1+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis
- 3+ years of experience testing hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
- 1+ years of experience writing technical reports
- 1+ years of experience leading multiple projects at the same time
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time
- 1+ years of experience precision measurement equipment & GD&T
- 1+ years of experience working with customers in production, engineering departments, airline industry or governmental agencies
