CAD Designer

Role Overview

We’re hiring a hands-on CAD Designer / Maker to design and build production-grade components and molds for our next generation of training products. This role blends CAD design with real-world fabrication — ideal for someone who enjoys moving between digital modeling and shop-floor prototyping.

You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering and Tooling teams to develop molds, parts, and processes that reliably produce anatomically realistic components.

• Design components and molds using CAD (Solid Works preferred)
• Develop work instructions, drawings, and BOMs
• Build and assemble prototypes using shop tools and fabrication equipment
• Support additive manufacturing, mold development, and RTV casting
• Track vendor parts and support production and tooling needs
• Solve complex design challenges creatively and efficiently

• CAD Certificate or similar formal training
• 1–5 years experience in CAD or prototype design
• Strong CAD skills (Solid Works, Fusion 360, ZBrush, or similar)
• Experience with 3D printing technologies
• Basic shop skills and safe tool operation
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Mold design or casting experience
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing processes and materials
• Familiarity with prototype resins and tooling materials
