Data Center Project Architect, DC Design Engineering

This role is for a Data Center Project Architect based in Seattle, WA, on our design team. Architects design resilient, cost‑effective data center facilities, ensuring world‑class uptime and driving efficiency across a global portfolio.

• Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation throughout construction.
• Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for architectural elements.
• Review and inform design RFPs.
• Manage external design consultants through the design and construction process.
• Coordinate with internal and external Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Cabling design engineers.
• Communicate design standards to project partners.
• Manage multiple fast‑paced projects simultaneously.
• Develop innovative solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality or reliability.
• Travel for site assessments, design meetings, construction reviews, and consultant interfacing (anticipated travel ≤ 25%).

• 3+ years of data center or mission‑critical facilities experience (e.g., hospital, military facility, public safety facility) or 3+ years of data center engineering.
• NCARB‑recognized architecture license.
• 7+ years of design experience in commercial/industrial/complex technical projects.
• 4+ years leading sub‑consultants and project teams.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards including IBC or equivalent.

• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• 3+ years of large‑scale Data Center facility design experience.
• Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards including IBC, IFC, NFPA, and UFC.
• Experience designing projects to comply with ICD/ICS 705 accreditation requirements.
• Vendor and consultant management skills.
• Ability to travel internationally.

The base salary range for this position is US$  –  annually (Seattle, WA).
