Job Description
We are seeking a Drafter II for the FAA Technical Support Services Contract (T5). The role involves preparing drawings for construction projects across the FAA’s nine regions, processing redlined as‑built drawings, integrating engineer markups, and performing quality control reviews.
T5 Program SummaryThe FAA awarded the T5 contract to Parsons. The contract supports the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan, Next Gen Program, and other national security and aviation safety initiatives. Work is performed nationwide in multiple FAA regions and supports an average staff of ~500 with peaks beyond 650.
Responsibilities- Prepare plan, elevation, profile, detail views, and notes for construction projects.
- Process redlined construction drawings for as‑built conditions.
- Incorporate engineer markups and client CAEG standards.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
- Perform QC review of completed assignments to reduce errors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Accept assignments from CAEG Manager/Supervisor or assigned lead.
- High school diploma required, Associate Degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of CAEG experience, or 3 years with a degree.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Micro Station.
- Knowledge of Project Wise, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office, and Google Earth.
- Strong oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Federal Aviation Administration security background check required.
None beyond the FAA background check.
Salary Range$15.68 – $71.30 per hour.
