Position: Aerospace-Senior Supplier Quality Engineer(PCBA)

Under general supervision and reporting to Operations Leadership, the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer serves as a vital link between TRIGO ADR and our Prime Aerospace or Defense customers. The role is hands‑on and focuses on identifying, driving, and managing projects to improve delivery, quality, and cost performance within the supply chain. The engineer will develop and support our supplier base, working closely with Group Quality, Procurement, and other functions, and will be deployed to suppliers to ensure continuous improvement of their operations and containment of issues.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN – BILINGUAL PREFERRED. TRAVEL INTO MX REQUIRED. PCBA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage production teams in assembly and testing of electronic and/or mechanical products.
  • Own safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for multi‑cell, multi‑shift operations.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
  • Collaborate daily with technical support, engineering, facilities, production control, and finance to meet organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, including value‑stream maps.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and program deliverables.
  • Lead MRB activities to determine disposition of non‑conforming material and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Perform on‑site supplier visits and audits; assess manufacturing and quality processes; develop root‑cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of supplier performance and quality improvement progress; report weekly and monthly on supplier progress to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of hands‑on quality engineering experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • 5–8 years of FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) standards at a quality engineering level.
  • Strong understanding of engineering processes, standard drawing conventions, drawing interpretation, specifications, and GD&T.
  • 5–8 years of hands‑on ISO
    9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems experience in Production, Quality, and logistics.
  • Knowledge of FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations.
  • Experience leading customer audits.
  • Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Project management, time management, problem‑solving, and organization.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and lead other team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Desired Skills
  • QMS and QMS auditing.
  • Process improvement tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TAKT, 5

    Why, 8D, Poka‑Yoke, etc.).
  • IPC‑600, IPC‑610, IPC‑620 as applicable.
  • Experience with aerospace quality, engineering, and manufacturing.
  • ITAR standards and regulations; USG FAR and DFAR.
  • Quality metrology functions (gage calibration/verification).
  • Quality containment activities (MRB, quality walls, return‑to‑green plans, Gantt charts).
  • Risk registries or similar forms.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Robust team leadership, mentoring, employee development.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong independent decision‑making, analytical skills, and professional judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive technical aptitude.

General Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; master’s degree preferred.
  • Manufacturing quality experience 20+ years.
  • Aerospace experience required 15+ years.
  • Quality management system development and implementation.
  • Supply chain management and supplier development experience.
  • Program / project management experience.
  • 10+ years FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) protocol.
  • Hands‑on inspection experience and ability to use basic inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
