Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Deputy Project Manager – Rail Systems to join our North American Infrastructure group in the Rail Systems team in Seattle, WA
.
Responsibilities:
- Provide design and technical integration leadership to large‑scale rail infrastructure projects, supporting a team of multi‑disciplinary integration professionals to deliver a complete, functional, safe, and integrated rail system design.
- Support project leadership with direction and technical guidance to staff, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure that quality technical services are provided to clients and that the team meets its operating performance targets.
- Support managing of project production, changes, client relations, and financial management of various projects to ensure quality, client satisfaction, and profitability of all projects and tasks.
- Assist in pursuits, client relationship building efforts, building technical practice, and recruiting of staff in transit and rail systems areas.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Professional engineering license (highly preferred).
- 5 years of experience with at least 3 of these years in positions with engineering management responsibilities.
- Knowledge of US (FTA & FRA) transit rail delivery standards and practices with proven experience on past projects.
- Familiarity with Design‑Build and Design‑Bid‑Build project delivery methods as applicable to Rail Systems.
- Experience delivering both brown and green field transit rail systems programs.
- Knowledge of engineering management, systems engineering, asset management, operations management and quality management in the railway and transit environments.
- Career foundation in Rail Systems design and systems engineering. Familiarity with rail operations, stations, track, and other civil aspects of a railway.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and experience training and developing staff and educating clients.
Base Compensation: $150,000 – $170,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
