AboutThe Role
At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
The Associate Supply Chain Program Manager is an entry-level embedded supply chain owner who will learn to convert program demand, design, and schedule into executable sourcing strategies that deliver material on time and on budget. You will work directly alongside engineering and manufacturing teams — participating in design reviews, source selection events, supplier qualification, and production planning alongside experienced SCPMs and Supply Chain Engineers.
This role is for someone early in their supply chain career who is intellectually curious, moves fast, and wants to build something from scratch rather than maintain something that already exists. You do not need to have done this before. You need to be able to learn it quickly.
Responsibilities:- Support development of bid packages with technical requirements, commercial terms, and evaluation criteria in collaboration with Supply Chain Engineers and Commodity Managers
- Participate in competitive source selection events; learn to evaluate supplier proposals on technical merit, cost, and risk
- Support supplier qualification and onboarding activities: documentation, capability validation, and readiness tracking
- Track supplier milestones — tooling acceptance, First Article Inspection, PPAP status, and run-at-rate progress; monitor capacity and flag schedule risks
- Embed with assigned technical programs alongside experienced supply chain leaders; partner with Supply Chain Engineers and Commodity Managers to connect technical and commercial work streams
- Prepare status, risk, and mitigation reporting for program leadership
- Use data and AI-generated dashboards to track supplier performance, identify trends, and support corrective action; contribute improvements to templates and workflows over time
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort working with data, spreadsheets, BOMs, and cost models
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to summarize complex information concisely for different audiences
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity; able to make progress without a fully defined playbook
- Genuine curiosity about technology and automation; excited to work in an AI-enabled environment
- Collaborative and team-oriented; able to build relationships across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams
- Internship or co-op experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or program management
- Exposure to manufacturing environments: understanding of how parts are made, assembled, and qualified
- Experience with data analysis tools:
Excel, Python, SQL, or Power BI - Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, supplier portals, or procurement tools
- Coursework or certification in supply chain, logistics, or operations management
- Interest in high-rate manufacturing, NPI, or new technology introduction environments
