Position Overview
We are looking for a Structural Engineer with strong technical capabilities and a solid understanding of residential structural systems. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently producing structural drawing sets for single-family residential projects and coordinating effectively with architectural and consultant teams throughout the design and permitting process.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare structural calculations and drawing sets for residential projects, including single-family homes, additions, and small-scale developments
- Independently develop permit-ready structural drawings
- Coordinate with architectural and consultant teams throughout project development
- Review project requirements, applicable codes, and jurisdictional standards
- Participate in design development and technical problem-solving
- Maintain drawing quality, technical consistency, and project efficiency
- 1–3 years of professional experience in structural engineering
- Experience with wood-frame residential structures preferred
- Ability to independently complete structural drawings for residential projects
- Familiarity with U.S. building codes and residential structural systems
- EIT certification preferred; PE or SE license is highly preferred
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced professional environment
