AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Bridge Manager for employment in the Seattle, WA office.
- Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepares technical specification sections.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
- BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- WA State PE.
- Master's of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
- Possess SE license or ability to pass SE exam within one year of employment.
- 8+ years of bridge design and plan development experience.
- Project experience in Washington State related to state and/or local bridge design project work with seismic and inelastic analysis and design.
- Proficiency in software such as Micro Station, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, PTC MathCAD, CSiBridge and/or MIDAS Civil.
- Experience leading a staff of engineers and CAD personnel.
- Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
- Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software).
- Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes.
- Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel.
