In this role, you will take charge of managing, planning, and implementing Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) strategies across various projects. Your expertise will help in delivering innovative prefabrication solutions that enhance efficiency and design quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical implementation of Offsite Manufacturing (OSM) for project engagements, collaborating closely with design and construction teams to identify optimal offsite solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive technical analyses of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems to craft project-specific OSM strategies.
- Guide project teams to assess constructability, conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses, and recommend effective construction sequencing and logistics.
- Utilize a Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) approach to direct the development of prefabricated and modular designs based on project specifications.
- Review project designs for compliance with design intent, AHJ requirements, and contractual obligations to facilitate strategic offsite construction implementation.
- Collaborate with construction and design teams during the design phase to analyze and integrate offsite construction strategies for manufacturing, delivery, and assembly.
- Establish project controls by analyzing schedules, labor, cost estimation, and creating execution plans, including comprehensive OSM Scopes of Work and logistics strategies.
- Develop and implement competitive bidding strategies, including identifying suitable manufacturing vendors.
- Partner with internal procurement teams to oversee the bidding and award processes for manufacturing vendors.
- In collaboration with awarded vendors, establish a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program tailored to specific OSM solutions.
- Work alongside the xPL Offsite product development team to incorporate innovative products into designs, providing valuable feedback for improvements.
- Maintain and improve standard operating methods for OSM processes, contributing to the continuous enhancement of project implementations.
- Build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to explore new technologies and strategies that advance offsite manufacturing initiatives.
- Assist in business development efforts by providing analytical support and early feedback on prospective OSM projects.
- Establish constructive relationships with external project teams and manufacturing vendors to enhance project outcomes.
- Supervise remote teams and participate in the hiring and onboarding process, while also providing performance feedback and identifying training opportunities.
