Job Title:
Mechanical/Plumbing BIM Specialist
We are looking for a talented and experienced BIM Modeler specializing in mechanical and plumbing systems to join our team for exciting commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and create detailed, fabrication-level BIM models for plumbing, hydronic piping, and wet-side HVAC systems.
- Generate coordinated shop drawings that are ready for field installation.
- Execute clash detection and coordination tasks using Navisworks.
- Set up projects from inception, including grids, levels, worksets, views, and sheets.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and field teams to address and resolve coordination challenges.
- Participate in multi-trade coordination meetings, providing practical and constructible solutions.
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards throughout the modeling and documentation phases.
- Minimum of 3 years of BIM modeling experience in mechanical and plumbing construction.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, including family creation and advanced tools.
- Experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination is essential.
- Familiarity with BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including plumbing, hydronic piping, pumps, valves, and fixtures.
- Ability to accurately interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Experience in creating fabrication/shop-level drawings is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are a must.
- Background in mechanical drafting or engineering education.
- Autodesk certifications are an advantage.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is a plus.
