Job Description

Hill International is seeking an Estimator in Seattle, Washington.

The Estimator is responsible for independent cost estimate development across all design phases, from pre‑design through final design, and provides change order estimating and review support during the construction phase. The Estimator must demonstrate a thorough understanding of market and labor conditions and their direct impact on project cost, with the ability to assess, analyze, and incorporate those factors into estimate development and cost positions. The Estimator will also serve as a core contributor to value engineering workshops and risk assessments, providing cost inputs and reviewing outputs for consistency with the overall project estimate.

  • Prepare estimates of all major and minor construction aspects including overall scope of work, time, and materials.

  • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as budget planning, scheduling work, and organizing.

  • Assist the project team in contract negotiations.
  • Review contractor change requests and assist in claims support.
