Job Summary
The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Engineering Technical Specialist to join our Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team in Seattle, WA to develop innovative solutions while working according to established guidelines in the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Infrastructure Organization. The candidate should proactively monitor and maintain authoritative data across Boeing applications such as Common Metrology Information System (CMIS) or Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON), evaluate the impact of changes, and update information to meet structured application standards.
The role involves system administration, data analysis, report generation for leadership, creation of user-friendly tip sheets and guides, and validation of system enhancements through rigorous testing to ensure reliable, real value for end users.
- Provides configuration management, coordinates changes, performs assessments of compliance and manages the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs
- Performs data mining and evaluation to various criteria and provides summary of results for the end users
- Standardizes data mining for commonly used data using queries and providing results to end users
- Develops, documents, implements, provides consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, processes and standards
- Provides training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs
- Ensures regulatory requirements are met
- Identifies and validates user access roles, produces tip sheets and understands system interoperability
- Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
- Develops, maintains and distributes engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity
- Collects, analyzes and validates engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs
- Works under general direction
- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data, then summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
- Experience with Microsoft Excel to process tabular data
- Ability to document training instructions and user guides
- 2+ years of experience with Common Metrology Information System (CMIS) or Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON)
- Familiarity with data architecture, and data warehouse concepts
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and delivering projects on schedule
- Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Summary Pay Range: $90,950 - $123,050.
