OverviewJoin The Boeing Company’s Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team in Seattle, WA as an Engineering Technical Specialist within the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Infrastructure Organization. The role focuses on developing innovative solutions, monitoring, and maintaining authoritative data across Boeing applications such as the Common Metrology Information System (CMIS) and Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON). The specialist evaluates and updates records to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with structured application standards, while providing data insights and support to end users.
Responsibilities- Provide configuration management and coordinate changes, ensuring compliance with product standards across business units and programs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data across CMIS and SIMON, identifying inconsistencies and recommending updates.
- Perform data mining, summarize results, and standardize queries to deliver actionable findings to stakeholders.
- Develop, document, implement, and consult on engineering tools, processes, and standards, ensuring compliance and readiness for deployment.
- Provide training, create guide documents, and support the integration of engineering designs.
- Validate user access roles and system interoperability.
- Collect, synthesize, and analyze engineering performance metrics and coordinate organizational requirements to support business needs.
- Maintain and distribute engineering documents, reports, and correspondence to enable business activity.
- Work under general direction and participate in a hybrid work model as required.
- U.S. export‑control compliance: must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
- 3+ years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data and summarizing findings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for processing tabular data.
- Ability to document training materials and user guides.
- Preferred: 2+ years with CMIS or SIMON.
- Familiarity with data architecture and warehouse concepts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and delivering projects on schedule.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, quality, or regulated industries is desirable.
- Competitive base pay ranging from $90,950 to $123,050, based on experience and qualifications.
