Engineering Technical Specialist (Experienced or Senior)
Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Engineering Technical Specialist to join our team in Seattle, WA or Berkeley, MO. The role focuses on developing innovative solutions while adhering to the guidelines of the Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) Infrastructure Organization. The specialist monitors, maintains, and validates authoritative data across Boeing applications such as the Common Metrology Information System (CMIS) and Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON).
Responsibilities include troubleshooting data issues, producing reports for leaders, creating user‑friendly tip sheets and guides, and rigorously testing system enhancements to ensure reliability and value for end users.
- Develop, document, implement, and provide consultation on the application of engineering tools, processes, and standards.
- Provide training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools, and support the integration of engineering designs.
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met.
- Identify and validate user access roles, produce tip sheets, and understand system interoperability.
- Perform configuration management, coordinate changes, assess compliance, and manage implementation of product standards across company business units and programs.
- Represent company interests on external standards committees and develop, adapt, or adopt external standards for internal use.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute engineering documents, reports, and correspondence to enable business activity.
- Collect, analyze, and validate engineering performance metrics and coordinate organizational requirements to support business needs.
- Work under general direction.
- U.S. Person status as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
- 3+ years of experience with Common Metrology Information System (CMIS).
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for processing tabular data.
- Ability to document training instructions and user guides.
- Level 4: 10 or more years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems.
- 2+ years of experience with Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON).
- Familiarity with data architecture and data warehouse concepts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and delivering projects on schedule.
- Prior experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industry.

Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
Pay Range:

3): $85,000 – $123,050 - Senior Level (Level
4): $102,000 – $147,200
