Position Overview

Associate Engineering Technical Specialist – Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team, Seattle, WA. Develop solutions to innovate while following guidelines in Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES). Monitor and maintain authoritative data across Boeing applications such as Common Metrology Information System (CMIS) and Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON). Identify outdated or inconsistent records, evaluate the impact of changes, and update information to meet structured application standards.

Serve as system administrator, evaluate data for troubleshooting, completeness, and accuracy. Collect, synthesize, analyze data, summarize findings, and develop recommendations. Standardize data mining using queries to support end users. Provide reports to leaders and create user‑friendly tip sheets and guides. Validate system enhancements through rigorous testing to ensure reliability and value to end users.

Responsibilities
  • Provide configuration management, coordinate changes, assess compliance, and manage implementation of product standards across business units and programs.
  • Perform data mining and evaluation against various criteria and supply summaries to end users.
  • Standardize data mining for commonly used data using queries and deliver results to end users.
  • Develop, document, and implement engineering tools, processes, and standards; ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Provide training and assistance in process and tool utilization; support integration of engineering designs.
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Identify and validate user access roles, produce tip sheets, and understand system interoperability.
  • Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings and develop recommendations from data sources.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute engineering documents, reports, and correspondence to enable business activity.
  • Collect, analyze, and validate engineering performance metrics; coordinate organizational requirements to support business needs.
  • Work under general direction.
  • Hybrid work: majority of duties performed onsite at one of the listed locations; this may change in the future.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a "U.S. Person" (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
  • One or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel to process tabular data.
  • Ability to document training instructions and user guides.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with Common Metrology Information System (CMIS) or Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON).
  • Familiarity with data architecture and data warehouse concepts.
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in cross‑functional teams and delivering projects on schedule.
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, quality, or a regulated industry.

Pay & Benefits
