Bridge Engineer – Seattle

Our Seattle team is growing, and we seek a highly motivated Bridge Engineer to contribute to challenging, high‑profile infrastructure projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets and perform analysis of complex structures.
  • Work with senior engineers on proposals, project coordination, and client communications and meetings.
  • Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes, and develop engineering reports and technical documents.
  • Prepare standard construction documents such as technical specifications and proposal documents.
  • Conduct bridge inspections, load rating analyses, seismic evaluations, and retrofit/rehabilitation studies.
  • Provide support during construction, including submittal reviews and site visits.
  • Work with and supervise junior engineers in performing designs and preparing documents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the home state or obtaining within 12 months of employment.
  • Minimum 5+ years of bridge design experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO and other structural design codes.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software such as MDX, LARSA, CSiBridge, or MIDAS.
  • Competence with Excel, Mathcad, and other engineering software for calculations.
