Job Overview

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we design, build, and operate the world’s largest cloud platform. We manage a complex supply chain for data‑center hardware, and we are looking for a Supply Chain Product Manager to ensure critical semiconductor components are ready for new hardware launches. The role aligns component readiness with product timelines, mitigates supply risks, and enables scalable, resilient component selection.

Key Job Responsibilities

Partner with hardware engineering teams to align component readiness with product development timelines. Track readiness from prototype to production, identify gaps early, and drive mitigation plans for successful product launches at scale.

Engage engineering teams early in the design phase to influence component selection decisions, providing input on supply resilience, scalability, and qualification timelines, and ensuring designs support multi‑sourcing and long‑term supply continuity.

Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) to identify supply risks, including single or sole sourcing, supplier capacity constraints, manufacturing and technology dependencies, and end‑of‑life exposure. Work cross‑functionally to drive mitigation plans and track progress to closure.

Own identification of high‑risk components and drive multiple source selection through the new‑unique‑difficult‑different (NUDD) process. Partner with engineering and quality teams to qualify alternate components early and ensure availability ahead of key development milestones, resolving issues that impact product readiness.

Develop clear visibility into component‑level risks and mitigation status. Communicate updates on key risks and escalation items to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

Experience leading complex, multi‑year cross‑functional initiatives spanning business and technology.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in semiconductor, hardware, or supply‑chain roles.
Experience analyzing component‑level risks or BOM.
Familiarity with semiconductor components (e.g., power ICs, controllers, interface ICs).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) in server, data‑center, or electronics hardware.
Ability to interpret component data sheets and understand quality and reliability standards, such as JEDEC and component quality management systems.
Understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem (fabs, OSAT, key suppliers).
Strong technical problem‑solving skills across components, boards, and system levels.
Strong analytical and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
