Morgner Construction Management is looking for Schedulers in support of construction and program management contracts for rail, heavy civil, and transportation infrastructure projects in the Greater Seattle area. Prepares, maintains, and analyzes project schedules using CPM methodology; monitors contractor schedules for compliance with contract requirements; identifies schedule risks and trends; and provides schedule analysis and reporting to project management staff.

Responsibilities- Develops, maintains, and updates detailed CPM project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software for assigned rail, systems, and infrastructure construction projects.
- Reviews and evaluates contractor-submitted baseline schedules and schedule updates for logic, resource loading, critical path analysis, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Monitors project progress against baseline schedule; identifies variances, trends, and potential delays; prepares schedule impact analyses and recommends corrective actions.
- Prepares schedule narrative reports, look-ahead schedules, and milestone tracking reports for project management review and executive-level reporting.
- Coordinates schedule development and updates with project managers, construction managers, resident engineers, and field inspection staff.
- Supports time impact analysis (TIA) and delay claim evaluation in collaboration with project controls and legal staff.
- Participates in schedule risk analysis activities and identification of schedule contingency requirements.
- Maintains schedule data and documentation in accordance with project controls policies and procedures.
- Assists in development and review of contractor recovery schedules when project delays occur.
- Interfaces with agency staff, contractors, and consultants on schedule-related matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field and five years of progressively responsible experience performing project scheduling functions on rail, heavy civil, or transportation infrastructure projects; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Licenses or Certifications- Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) by AACE International.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
- Operational characteristics, services, and activities of a capital program.
- CPM scheduling principles, methods, and best practices for large construction programs.
- Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Schedule analysis techniques including critical path, float analysis, and time impact analysis.
- Earned value management principles as applied to schedule performance.
- Construction means, methods, and sequencing for rail, transit, and heavy civil projects.
- Contract administration principles and construction contract requirements related to scheduling.
- Methods and techniques of developing schedule narratives and executive-level reporting.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with agency staff, contractors, and consultants.
