Job Description:
We are looking for an estimator to join our growing team. As an HVAC Equipment Estimator you will build and provide equipment proposals and quotes to mechanical contractors by performing equipment take‑offs.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform HVAC take‑offs from mechanical construction drawings.
- Price equipment using manufacturer pricing software and data.
- Digitally file and maintain project documents.
- Assist with administrative tasks for the department, including data entry.
- Manage and prioritize multiple bids, updating bid contacts in Salesforce and researching new projects.
- Communicate professionally and provide outstanding customer service to all Dorse stakeholders—including coworkers, vendors, and customers.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an estimating role related to construction or HVAC (preferred).
- Proficiency in take‑offs using On Screen Takeoff or similar software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
- Desire to continuously improve current processes and practices.
