Role descriptionArcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Stormwater Program Manager / Senior Engineer to lead stormwater management and green infrastructure projects across the Seattle region and western Washington. The role oversees planning, design, permitting, and delivery of urban water resilience programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, municipal partners, and community stakeholders.
Role accountabilitiesLead the planning, design, and permitting of stormwater management and green infrastructure projects from feasibility through construction. Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. Direct collaborative and alternative delivery programs for municipal stormwater and GI initiatives, aligning project outcomes with broader urban resilience and sustainability goals. Provide technical expertise in stormwater systems, natural channel design, low‑impact development, and green stormwater solutions.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement with partners such as SPU, community groups, regulatory agencies, and design consultants. Mentor engineering and project management staff, support business development through proposal preparation, client relationship management, and program growth.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Landscape Architecture, Water Resources Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the planning, design, and permitting of stormwater management and green infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated success leading collaborative delivery and alternative delivery programs for municipal stormwater and urban resilience projects.
- Experience working in Seattle with Seattle Public Utilities, King County, or similar clients on GI, natural channel design, or related programs.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations and permitting pathways.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client‑facing skills.
- Background in sustainable water infrastructure, climate resilience, and nature‑based solutions.
- Experience managing large, multi‑year capital programs.
- Familiarity with Washington State Department of Ecology and local stormwater manuals.
- Ability to represent the organization at technical conferences, workshops, and community meetings.
Salary range: $109,186 – $185,616. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401(k), STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program, and optional wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year.
