Hardware Development Manager, AWS Hardware Engineering, AWS Hardware Components

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of hardware engineers, software engineers, system engineers, technical program managers, and other vital roles. Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to deliver best-in-class hardware designs from inception through manufacturing, implementation, maturation, and eventual deprecation.
  • Ensure all core hardware components meet or exceed the high quality bar and support a healthy fleet of EC2 servers.
  • Organize and lead a team of skilled hardware development engineers in partnership with mechanical and thermal suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to meet roadmap goals.
  • Define implementation strategies and report status frequently to senior leadership.
  • Directly enable AWS to launch next-generation server designs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 7 years of experience in thermal/mechanical development of servers or similar products.
  • 3 years of people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of Technical Program Manager experience.

Base salary range: $175,100 - $236,900 annually (Washington, Seattle).
