We invite you to bring your Air Quality and Business Development skills into play as you contribute to innovative and sustainable air quality solutions to help us grow our Pacific Northwest Air Quality business unit.
Your new roleAs the Air Quality Principal, you will provide technical and business leadership, contributing to innovative solutions across commercial, manufacturing, government, energy, financial, insurance, and law sectors. You will also generate and sustain business to support firm growth.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:- Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
- Managing projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations, drafting regulatory applicability determinations, and communicating findings to co‑workers, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Overseeing the preparation of comprehensive federal and state air permit application materials
- Testifying at administrative and/or court hearings
- Participating in local, national and international scientific and trade group meetings
- Conducting site visits
- B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline
- 15+ years of environmental consulting experience focused on air quality with a proven track record of business growth
- Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply environmental regulations to real‑world situations
- Deep understanding of air quality issues and agency‑approved methods and guidance
- Capability to externally manage client and regulatory agency relationships and internally manage staff and competing project priorities

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $165,000 - $190,000 per year, varying by location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include bonuses, overtime, or other incentives. A comprehensive benefits package supports well‑being, professional development, and work‑life balance.
