At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, supporting manufacturing and supply chain across all Blue Origin facilities.
This role is part of the Safety, Quality and Mission Assurance organization and focuses on defining, monitoring and assessing processes that guide design, manufacturing, and operations, ensuring system safety engineering, reliability, environmental health, and safety, product integrity, and certification.
As a Senior System Safety Engineer, you will work with systems engineering teams to define and verify compliance with safety and reliability requirements. You will help engineers identify areas of opportunity for design improvements, minimise risk to people and property, and increase the probability of mission success. You will lead, perform, and coordinate safety analyses to identify hazards, causes, controls, mitigations, and risk characterisation.
You will work directly with responsible engineers, program management, and customers to return humans to the Moon and extend human presence beyond Earth.
We are looking for someone to apply technical expertise, leadership skills and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is a must!
