Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Temporary Works Group. The role involves designing and managing temporary structures across a variety of projects, collaborating with construction teams, and ensuring safe, cost‑effective solutions.

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works and construction methods, including heavy lift plans, erection procedures, and construction sequences.
• Evaluate existing structures for construction loads and demolition planning.
• Perform structural analysis to ensure stability during temporary conditions of bridges, viaducts, buildings, tunnels, and other structures.
• Support excavation systems or cofferdams for below‑grade construction.
• Design temporary bridges, trestles, work platforms, fall protection systems, formwork, and related features.
• Perform and review calculations and design drawings per industry codes and client criteria.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of design deliverables.
• Identify design risks and assist with risk mitigation planning.
• Assist in project management tasks such as budgets, schedules, and client coordination.
• Provide on‑site design engineering support, inspections, and mentor E.I.T.s.

• Experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
• Accredited Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility in the United States.
• Strong academic knowledge of structural engineering.
• Experience with engineering design software (AutoCAD, Blue Beam, MathCAD, Navisworks, RISA‑3D).
• Teamwork and excellent communication skills, oral and written.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel, TDY assignments, or relocate.
• Ability to work in varying climates and environments.

Base Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 (actual compensation varies by education, experience, skillset, and location)
