The EH&S Safety Specialist III – Alaska Operations will support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) leadership in the design, implementation, communication and coordination of all enterprise safety, security and occupational health safety processes and programs. This Seattle-based position will provide EH&S expertise to various sites and locations.
Essential Functions- Supports EH&S programs and processes by providing advice and guidance to Company Senior Management
- Reviews, creates, and implements internal policies, standards and practices to ensure they are current, appropriate, and compliant.
- Conducts hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations which serve to drive regulatory compliance and EH&S performance excellence
- Provides regular written reports, as well as other EH&S related results and provide updates to EH&S leadership
- Assists in the investigation of serious incidents and ensure proper records are completed and submitted.
- Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident and ensure “lessons learned” are communicated throughout the Company and are incorporated into the program
- Develops, supervises, and coordinates training programs or media which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote EH&S consciousness
- Addresses specific injury reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA, DOT, USDA, EPA etc., as well as other pertinent domestic and international safety/regulatory compliance matters and ensure sites are compliant.
- Conducts site visits/audits
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
- Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $110,000 to $130,000.
