Project Engineer
Howard S. The Project Engineer is an entry level position that assists the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of the construction project. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials and maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability, and while complying with our Safety culture of Zero Harm.
Essential Functions
- Project financial responsibilities
- Preconstruction services
- Project start-up and scheduling
- Project administration, coordination, and close-out
- Promote client and subcontractor relations
Perform other related duties as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Construction Management degrees preferred) or equivalent experience
- Internship, or equivalent experience, with a commercial general contractor
- Proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)
Preferred Experience
- One to three years of previous work experience
- Familiarity with RFIs, change orders, submittals, and punch-lists
- Preparing sub-contractor meeting minutes
The base compensation range for the role posted above is $90,000 - $97,000 annually.
