As an Electrical Systems Engineer III, you will design and implement mission- critical electrical systems for our revolutionary Blue Ring spacecraft platform, a highly maneuverable multi- mission spacecraft supporting national security operations.

Less than 25% - Top Secret clearance required to start
- Design and develop electrical systems and interfaces for spacecraft and payloads, with a specific focus on Blue Ring applications for national security missions
- Create and analyze power budgets to ensure adequate electrical power for mission operations
- Design and specify wire harness connectivity solutions that meet spacecraft requirements for reliability, mass, and performance
- Develop and implement command and data handling architectures for spacecraft subsystems and payloads
- Define and document electrical interfaces between spacecraft bus and payloads
- Collaborate with cross- functional teams to ensure electrical systems integration with mechanical, thermal, and software systems
- Develop electrical test plans and procedures to verify system performance
- Identify and mitigate technical risks related to electrical systems for national security spacecraft
- Mentor junior engineers on electrical design best practices for space applications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in spacecraft electrical systems engineering
- Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following: command & data handling subsystems, avionics, or electrical power subsystems
- Knowledge of spacecraft electrical interfaces and standards
- Experience with power budget development and analysis
- Familiarity with wire harness design and connectivity solutions for space applications
- Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- TS/SCI is highly preferred
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in spacecraft electrical systems design and integration
- Experience with payload accommodation and integration for spacecraft
- Knowledge of spacecraft bus architectures and subsystem interactions
- Experience with MIL-STD-1553, Space Wire, CAN, or other spacecraft data bus protocols
- Familiarity with electrical ground support equipment (EGSE) development and operation
- Experience with requirements development and management for electrical systems
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC considerations for spacecraft
- Experience with FPGA or embedded software development
- Background in Model
- Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies - Previous work experience in national security space programs
