Civil Engineer

Overview

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer with zero to three years of experience who wishes to gain site development experience for a variety of projects, learn how to develop new business relationships, and work in a professional, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be an outgoing, enthusiastic self-starter, with a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team.

• Work on general site engineering activities including creating conceptual plans, preparing construction plans, visiting construction sites, and providing technical assistance during design and construction.
• Collaborate with senior civil engineers and other engineering disciplines and architects; assist with site plans, grading and drainage plans, and storm water management design.
• Prepare water and sanitary sewer utility plans, ensure ADA accessibility, and support other associated improvements.
• Utilize AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D drafting systems; leverage MS Office programs for project tasks.
• Contribute as a proactive team member and develop effective technical writing and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar ABET-accredited program
• Civil Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) required or pending
• Zero to three years’ experience
• Experience and/or interest in site engineering and working with multiple disciplines and construction sites
• Design skills for site plans, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and related improvements
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D drafting systems and standards preferred
• Experience with MS Office programs
• Desire to work as a pro-active team player
• Effective technical writing and communication skills
• Excellent time management skills; positive, can-do attitude
• Not eligible for sponsorship

Expected annual salary of $76,000 - $90,000.
