Key Responsibilities
- Lead environmental risk evaluations, permitting, and approvals for technology infrastructure and major capital projects.
- Identify permitting requirements during site acquisition and due diligence processes.
- Manage regulatory agency interactions and develop mitigation strategies for environmental risks.
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering partners on conceptual master planning.
- Communicate environmental requirements to diverse stakeholders, including legal, real estate, design, and sustainability teams.
- Oversee preparation of reports, permitting documents, and environmental reviews at federal and state levels.
- Serve as project manager, technical expert, and QA/QC reviewer to ensure quality and compliance.
- Drive business development through proposal preparation and client relationship management.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and health & safety protocols.
- Work across ERM’s global network to share best practices and deliver exceptional results.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, biology/ecology, planning, program management, or a related field. Equivalent experience acceptable.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in environmental permitting and/or due diligence.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical reports and presenting to clients.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships and thrive in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
- Experience with permitting timelines, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.
- Technical skills in wildlife or ecological surveys (e.g., wetland delineations, wildlife assessments).
- Familiarity with air quality permitting and multi-media regulatory compliance programs.
The anticipated annual base pay is $93,050 – $124,245 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (but casual and fixed‑term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
