We are supporting a confidential advanced manufacturing business operating within additive manufacturing and precision engineering. They are seeking a Junior NPI Engineer to join their growing team and support the introduction of complex, high-performance components into production.
This is a hands-on role offering strong exposure to New Product Introduction, manufacturing engineering, and advanced production processes within a fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for additive manufactured components
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DfM) principles to improve production readiness
- Assist with AM process development (build orientation, supports, distortion compensation)
- Support CNC integration and fixture design for manufacturing processes
- Contribute to post-processing and surface treatment optimisation
- Assist with metrology and inspection planning (CMM, CT scanning, optical systems)
- Produce and maintain technical drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Provide hands-on support to production and engineering teams
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering and supply chain teams
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline
- CAD experience (Solid Works, Fusion 360 or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical mindset
- Interest in additive / advanced manufacturing environments
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a team-focused, fast-paced environment
- Exposure to manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering
- Understanding of GD&T and technical drawings
- Familiarity with metrology or inspection methods
- Engineering data analysis experience
