Because of the need for hands‑on work, this position requires on‑site work at Kent, WA.
Responsibilities- Participate in the requirements, design, architecture, procurement, build, integration, and checkout of the power test systems
- Support a development environment with open box testing and card to card level testing.
- Create and release drawings of the test hardware infrastructure, rack layouts, harnesses, breakout boxes/panels, power distribution, and grounding.
- Identify and procure equipment, and coordinate with technicians for the build, assembly, and installation of equipment and harnesses.
- Support the integration of flight avionics, hardware, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of avionics units under test.
- Support checkout of the avionics systems and solving technical problems.
- Maintain configuration control of the drawings and the test system configuration.
- Support problem investigation and resolution.
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical degree
- 2+ years industry experience with avionics systems testing
- Experience planning, executing, and reporting electronics testing
- Ability to produce electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Proficiency in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power meters, data acquisition cards, etc.)
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in software and/or hardware development, integration, systems engineering, testing experience, and supporting avionics or similarly broad integration
- Experience with human‑rated space vehicle development and verification
- Ability to quickly analyze issues with low voltage instrumentation and control systems, 4-20 mA signals, thermocouples, resolvers, etc.
- Experience operating within a production configuration management environment
- Experience with Zuken, Creo, Windchill, and JAMA
