Controls Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA (Day One Onsite)
Job Description- Develop and commission industrial control systems, including PLC software design and HMI screens for various industries and environments.
- Write, install, debug, and commission PLC/HMI code on the job site.
- Program peripheral devices, machine PLCs, coordinate machine debugging, power‑up, and validation with build and electrical teams.
- Design and program systems to customer and DyAG build specifications using standard techniques and approaches.
- Travel to customer sites for installation and system startup.
- 3+ years of Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Rockwell Allen Bradley (Controllogix, RSLogix, Studio 5000) or Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal, WinCC) PLC programming.
- Knowledge of additional PLC platforms such as Omron, Mitsubishi, GE, etc. is helpful.
- Strong motion control programming/commissioning skills (servos, VFDs, etc.).
- Experience with SCADA Ignition is helpful.
- Programming language experience in Python, C#/.NET, Java, etc. is a plus.
- Experience with hardware design using AutoCAD, Promise‑E, or ePlan is a plus.
- Ability to program/write code/ladder logic from scratch.
- Experience with automotive manufacturing integration and commissioning.
- Experience programming within customer‑defined standards and templates.
- Proficiency with field‑bus networks (Device Net, Ethernet I/P, Profibus, Profi Net, etc.).
- Knowledge of Amazon or Tesla manufacturing standards is a plus.
AS or BS in Engineering (Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar). Equivalent years of experience may substitute for a degree.
