Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking to hire a MOT Discipline Lead (Design Build) to support our exciting projects in the Pacific Northwest.
- Serves as lead engineer on large-complex projects.
- Leads and mentors a team.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
- Presents complex technical solutions to clients.
- Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
- Participates and leads task force meetings for the MOT discipline.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain Washington PE within six months if not currently registered in WA.
- Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in Washington State.
- Experience as Maintenance of Traffic Discipline Lead, with WSDOT, on Design Build projects.
- Minimum of 12 years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
- Experience managing a large team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation and InRoads.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Local candidates to Seattle highly preferred.
- In-office/project office co-location required.
